The Bruno Axemen and Bruno Bombshells are excited to be the hosts for the 2022 Canadian Broomball Nationals. In Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from April 6th to 9th at Merlis Belsher Place. Saskatoon is the City of Bridges and has been host to many sport events in the community at the provincial, national and international level.
There are over 65 annual events that occur in Saskatoon over the course of a year (www.tourismsaskatoon.com). Saskatoon, as a location, has had great success in hosting events. Just this year Saskatoon was chosen to host the 2020 Juno Awards. Saskatoon also has a long list of successfully hosting large scale sporting teams and events. They are home to the WHL Team the Saskatoon Blades, a National Lacrosse Team the Saskatchewan Rush, and have a new franchise in the Canadian Elite Basketball League the Saskatchewan Rattlers that will started league play in May 2019. Other large events hosted in Saskatoon include the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championships, the 2013 Memorial Cup and most recently the FIBA 3-on-3 World Tour. Saskatoon is also home to the Gold Broom Tournament which will hold its 50th tournament in 2020, this broomball tournament sees teams from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the United States participate.
